Experience Details
Maruichi Mizuno Seicha is a family-run tea producer located in the scenic Nihondaira area of Shizuoka. They grow, process, and sell their own tea, offering visitors a chance to experience authentic Japanese tea culture at their fields and shop. This program invites you to enjoy a variety of hands-on activities, including tea picking, wearing a traditional chamusume (tea-picking maiden) outfit, and relaxing with freshly brewed tea on the terrace overlooking the tea fields.
Sample Schedule (10:00 AM Tour)
Standard Version
Relax on the terrace overlooking the tea fields while enjoying a tasting of several Japanese teas, mainly sencha.
Summer Version (Late May – Early October)
Enjoy a refreshing cold welcome tea on the terrace, then optionally change into a traditional tea-picking outfit (Chamusume), experience tea picking (seasonal), and take commemorative photos.
The tea shop is located approximately 7 minutes by car from the tea fields. If you arrive by taxi, please either ask your driver to wait or arrange another taxi to pick you up at the tea fields at the scheduled time.
*Tea picking is seasonal and may not be available depending on weather and tea-growing conditions.
*The afternoon tour follows the same schedule starting at 1:00 PM.

Notes
- Please come by car, rental car, or taxi. As our shop and tea fields are located separately, guests must travel between them on their own. Please note that if you choose to take a taxi, you will need to arrange and book it yourself.
- The scenery of the tea fields changes with the seasons.
- During the hot season (around May to October), the terrace can get very hot, so we will spend only a short time there.
- In case of rain, some parts of the program may be changed.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
- Reservations must be made at least 1 weeks in advance.
- Advance payment via PayPal is required to confirm the reservation.

- 7-3 days prior: 30%
- 2-1 days prior: 50%
- Same day or No show: 100%
If you cancel before the cancellation fee applies, the tour fee will be refunded minus any non-refundable transaction fees.
