Discover the Joy of Gōgumi Tea Blending

“Gōgumi” is the name for the blending of tea carried out by professionals. Gōgumi requires both the skill to assess the unique characteristics of each tea and the imagination to envision the final blended tea.
Guided by a skilled tea professional, you’ll mix different leaves to craft a unique flavor that suits your taste. This hands-on experience offers a deeper appreciation of Japanese tea culture and lets you take home a truly personal blend, crafted by you.

Highlight

You will learn about seven to eight different types of tea leaves, examining their aromas and colors to discover your personal preferences.
After selecting a main tea leaf, you will blend it with at least three other types to create your own unique tea.
In this experience, we mainly use tea from Shizuoka, allowing you to fully explore the unique characteristics of Shizuoka tea.
Take home your own custom-blended tea, plus a kit to create more at home.
